Soldiers Patrolling Lake Sebu, Attacked by NPA

As reported in Bombo Radyo Koronadal, the military authorities are in hot pursuit operation for the members of the Guirella Front 73 NPA rebels who attacked the military men assigned in the village of Lake Sebu, South Cotabato.

Lt Col Jones Otida, Batallion Commander of 27th Infantry Action Battalion Phil Army in an interview with Bombo Radyo Koronadal, announced that the rebel group gunned down the military Cafgu Patrol Base at Sitio Lamso-al and also the soldiers in patrol in Sitio Lampinik in Brgy Lamfugon in Koronadal.

According to Otida, there were no casualties found on the side of the soldiers while determining the number of casualties in the rebel group.

Aside from harassment, the military believes that the rebel group also plans to burn the equipment in road construction projects.

In the meantime, the 27th Infantry Action Battalion is in strict surveillance of the area.
